Senior Investment Officer
Thomas E. Burke, CFA, is Senior Investment Officer for North American Equities at the Investment Management Division (IMD) of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) located in New York City. IMD actively manages some $42B of pension fund assets for the multiple agencies and related organizations of the United Nations. Mr. Burke oversees $13B of investments in the US and Canadian equity markets and actively participates in asset allocation, investment strategy and organizational development roles. Prior to joining the UNJSPF in July 2009, Mr. Burke was a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager with Blackrock where he led a team focused on growth stock investing in US and global markets. With over 30 years of investment industry experience Mr. Burke has been previously associated with Merrill Lynch Investment Management, Mitsubishi Bank LTD, Security Pacific Merchant Bank, Prudential-Bache Securities, Union Carbide Pension Fund and National Securities & Research Corp. He is a graduate of Pace University and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Philadelphia and the NY Society of Security Analysts.
